Bürkliplatz, CH-Zurich

Architects were commissioned to develop future urban development scenarios for two key downtown locations in the city of Zurich. Our proposal for the Bürkliplatz area — which is separated from the lake by heavy traffic — calls for bringing the water closer to the city and transforming the current plaza in front of the Swiss National Bank into a harbor basin. At the end of Bahnhofstrasse, a landmark building will be situated facing the lake. This building could serve as a future convention center. A boat dock is conceived as an accessible artificial landscape, allowing the areas beneath it — shaped by gentle hills — to be used for restaurants, shops, and an information center.

WALON

Centralization of Local Government, CH-Bern

The main building, constructed in the 1960s, will be completely renovated on the ground floor and expanded with a single-story addition. Locating all high-traffic service offices on the ground floor allows for optimal functional organization and customer-friendly administration.
